Meet Cara

Hi! I'm Cara, one half of The Arrival Collective.

I've been a photographer for several years, but my love for birth photography began just recently.

There's something so powerful about witnessing a family meet their baby for the very first time. The anticipation, the strength, the emotion, the overwhelming love... it all unfolds in a matter of moments, yet changes lives forever.

Last year, I experienced that transformation myself when I welcomed my son into the world.

Like so many parents, I quickly realized how much of that day felt like a blur. The details fade faster than you'd expect. The emotions remain, but the tiny moments can become harder to recall with time.

That's one of the reasons birth photography means so much to me.

These images preserve the moments you were too focused to see, too exhausted to remember, or too overwhelmed to fully take in. They become part of your family's story.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, or chasing after a very busy little boy.

Meet Jenna

Hi, I’m Jenna.

My family and I moved to Western Pennsylvania in 2024 from Massachusetts. I have had the honor of capturing weddings and families professionally for over five years now. But the truth is that photography has always been a constant in my life. Documenting special moments of all kinds - from the big events to the small, quiet breaths in between - has always been deeply meaningful to me.

For me, birth photography is about witnessing and delivering a story ... of a new life; of a new bond between parent and child; of a woman joining generations before her in the tender and emotional transition into motherhood.

Time has a way of smudging the details. The raw emotion. The enormity of each moment. The first touch. The first cry. The first latch. These details get fuzzy. I look back at the births of my own three children and they are blurry in places. But each was incredible! Each had its own wonderful story. So if I can help preserve and tell that story for someone else, I'm in the happiest place I can be.

Our children keep me insanely busy but I wouldn't have it any other way. Becoming their mother is all I have ever wanted.

Other things that bring me joy: running, gardening and flowers, chai tea and chocolate.
